Everything is setup; your domain name, your hosting, you have WordPress and the

most important plugins installed, and now it’s time to start writing!

But,… Do you know who your market is and what your market wants?

Here are some tips that I use to start producing relevant content;

1)      Check out the top 10 results in Google for all the keywords that you’re targeting. Visit the highest ranking pages, what are they writing about? What are their keywords?

2)      Find the most popular forums in your niche and find out which topics are being discussed. Obviously all topics that are being actively discussed on forums are close to your target markets heart. If you don’t know enough about this topic, read-up about it and start contributing! And then write an article about it!

3)      Social media, facebook and twitter are great sources for relevant topics. Just key-in your keywords and read!

4)      Check out channels on YouTube. YouTube is the 2nd biggest search engine (after Google) and a place where great information is shared! Key-in to keywords and hit search, you’ll learn a lot!

5)      List to the most relevant Postcasts in your niche. Postcasts are great sources of information and great sources of new idea’s. Keep your pen and paper ready!

6)      Follow ‘The News’. Keep track of what newspapers are writing about your niche. What’s new is usually hot!

Follow this strategy and in no-time you have a whole list of great ideas! I’d recommend keeping track of them in an applications like ‘Evernote‘. Things you read, things your hear can immediately get noted down for future reference. You can have access to your idea list from your laptop or your smart phone, never ever will you have a shortage of Idea’s!

Always make sure that you’re on top of things before you start writing. Make sure, do additional research or do a full research if you feel that you don’t have enough information yet. But never get turned off if you feel that you’re lacking knowledge. You don’t have to be an expert in your niche before you can write about it. Be a report or a researcher in your niche and publish your findings! Just by researching and summarizing your most important findings your are already creating value added!

So, get going! Read what the top 10 results in Google are wrting about and find at least 5 popular forums in your niche!
